The National Group for Automotive Training (GNFA) digitizes its evaluations and recruits its apprentices with ExperQuiz.

Adèle Volard works as a pedagogy and digital learning project manager at the National Group for Automotive Training (GNFA). In this role, she supports subject matter experts in designing training programs and using digital tools.

Why did you choose an evaluation and e-learning platform?

GNFA offers an Automotive Salesperson apprenticeship. It's a professional qualification that follows a specific reference framework. Until 2022, we had paper-based evaluations that we wanted to digitize to simplify grading because, logistically, it was very burdensome. Now, each trainer receives an export with the results of all their learners, instead of managing 15 paper copies stored in their SharePoint.

Why did the ExperQuiz platform appeal to you more than others?

What attracted us was the variety of question formats available compared to our internal tool, which only offered multiple-choice and single-choice questions, without open-ended questions for practical cases. We also needed many other features, such as timing, group-based registration, processing results by group, and ensuring that correctors only had access to their group's exams. ExperQuiz allows all of this.

The tool is also easy to use: it's simple to design the questionnaires and deploy them afterward.

What do you think of customer support?

We have a great relationship with ExperQuiz. Whenever we have a question, they always provide a clear answer. And whenever we have development needs, they are taken into account, like the addition of filters in the result search, which has really made our lives easier. Not all of our requests are feasible, but they are at least heard.

Has the tool allowed you to implement new practices within your organization?

Initially, we chose ExperQuiz for exams, but through our interactions with the team, we've expanded the tool's use to recruiting our apprentices for the Automotive Salesperson and After-Sales Customer Advisor titles. We use the public questionnaire feature, which is very convenient because we don't need to register the apprentices. Candidates who want to join our apprenticeship program directly respond to a public questionnaire, and we set a score threshold above which they can be invited for an interview. This initial filter saves us time in the recruitment process. Previously, candidates would come to GNFA centers to take a paper test, and since they were already there, we would interview them in person.

How has the solution made your work easier?

ExperQuiz has changed the entire evaluation process for one of our most popular courses. The platform has made it easier to deploy our exams. They are much more organized now. We have a one-hour time limit for all groups, with no possibility of favoritism. The grading process is automated. It's more balanced for our candidates. Administratively, it's greatly simplified. We can also analyze results with an overview of the overall level, statistics on the most well-understood topics, or questions that may need to be revised because they are less well understood.

Would you recommend ExperQuiz?

Yes, I recommend it for its ease of use and the quality of our interactions. For us, ExperQuiz has completely met our need to organize digital exams. Now, whenever we have evaluation-related topics, we consider ExperQuiz. And what we appreciate is that there are regular updates, like the recent exam monitoring feature. We're always interested in seeing what's new and testing these innovations.
